How to play Imports on your Nintendo 64 without voiding the warranty. You can play any game from any country on your N64 with the use of a N64 Passport Plus. It allows you to play any Japanese, Asian, American or PAL version game on any console and won't void your warranty. We have tested many converters that are available on the market and found this one to be the best, it is compatible with all consoles, is user upgradable (if new games come out that don't work, you can upgrade it by inserting a new 'Boot Code') and also has a built in Action Replay which you can use with any game (A stand alone Action Replay will only work with native country games). To use, simply insert a native game (PAL game for PAL console, NTSC game for NTSC console) in the back of the converter and place the game you want to play or use cheat codes with in the top. When you switch on the console you will be greeted with a menu offering you to select cheat codes, add cheat codes or start the game. Most games can just run by selecting the Start Game without Cheats option, however some games have a special copy protection code which requires a boot code to run. Most codes are already included in the converter, however check back here often for updates of new games. Please Note: Version 3.0 is the latest version of the Passport Plus, there is an physical upgrade required for v2 converters to play games like Zelda, Turok 2 and other newer games. The built in Action Replay feature of the N64 Passport Plus allows you to use Gameshark and Action Replay codes for any game (including Imports). To use codes, you must use the correct code for that territory of game eg. PAL codes for PAL games, Japan NTSC codes for Japanese games and US NTSC codes for US games. By using these codes you can achieve various cheats, for example, unlimited health, unlimited life, unlimited weapons, level selects and much more. There are literally thousands of sites on the internet that contain codes for Nintendo 64 Games, however please note that most codes are made by gamers themselves and although most do work, they are not all tested and therefore not guaranteed to work, it is a trial and error type situation.
